It was really disturbing for me, particularly being Jewish, to hear that Tory Party Chairman, Eric Pickles, tried to defend his European Party's link up with a bunch of far right Racists, Homophobes, Xenophobes and Waffen SS supporters.
His somewhat sickening comments that Latvians who served in the Waffen SS were "conscripted and only following orders" was appalling, even by his standards. Surely he must have remembered this was the defence used and totally discredited at the Nuremberg Trials?
What is even more disturbing is the fact that the Tory Candidate in the Borehamwood North Bye-Election on 22nd October is Rabbi Alan Plancey and his silence is deafening!
Let's be absolutely clear there is no room for any of the far right parties in British Politics, including the BNP, and any British Political Party that associates with them should become outcasts. If that includes Cameron's Tories then so be it.
During my election campaign I will be denouncing the Tory Party's actions on this issue and I will, at every possible opportunity, be calling on Rabbi Plancey to set out his justification of his party's position and what he intends to do now that he has formerly "come out".
